Age 30, passed away April 29, 2007 in Kansas City, MO. Visitation, Thursday, May 3 from 5:00-7:30p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, KS, with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass, Friday, May 4 at 1:30p.m., also at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Interment, Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to the Luke Nilges Memorial Fund.
Luke was born on April 14, 1977 to Wayne and JoAnn Nilges. He was proud of receiving his Bachelors Degree in Psychology and was recently accepted into the Masters Program at Ottawa University. He was employed with the Gillis Home for Boys as a counselor, and planned on furthering his education in order to help others.
He is survived by his father, Wayne (Julie) Nilges, his mother JoAnn Nilges, his brothers Jason (Monica) Nilges, and Matthew Nilges, his sisters Stephanie Nilges and Mickayla Nilges, nephews Jason Nilges, Jr., and Jonpaul Nilges, his niece Natalie Nilges,his fiancé, Jennifer Raffel, his grandmothers, Joan Nilges and Ethel Hund, and a large, loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Elmer Nilges and Cleo Longabach, and his sister, Katie Nilges.
