BURTON, Loyann M. (Irons), 55, of Overland Park, KS passed away November 14, 2009 surrounded by loved one and friends at her home in Overland Park, Ks, after a courageous battle with Scleroderma.
Loyann leaves behind her precious son, Dylan Clark Burton of Overland Park, Ks, her devoted mother, Anna Irons, of Overland Park, KS and her brothers David (Diana) Irons of Fort Mill, SC and William Irons of Geneva, OH. Loyann was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Irons.
Loyann was born in Geneva, Ohio, and was a 1972 graduate of Geneva High School.
She was a loving mother, devoted daughter, dear sister and a wonderful true friend. She was a very active member in the Scleroderma Foundation for many years and is a Past President of a local Kansas City Chapter. She was a dog lover and was so proud of her Bichons, Zena and Zoey. Loyann enjoyed dancing and participated in tap and line dancing for many years. She also enjoyed bowling, the beach, movies, and music.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Loyann's memory to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Geneva, OH, where the Pastor Jonathan Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva, Ohio.
