Lou (Guadalupe) Jurado of Olathe, Kansas passed away on October 19, 2018 at North Point Skilled Nursing Home in Paola, Kansas.
He was born on January 18, 1931 to Bonifacio and Adriana (Corrales) Jurado in New Salem, Kansas. Lou was raised in Winfield, Kansas and graduated from Winfield High School before enlisting in the Army.
Lou was an Army Veteran of 21 years and reached the rank of Warrant Officer. A Korean War Veteran and Silver Star Recipient.
He married Jane Jurado (Fletes) on September 3, 1951 for 61 years and together they lived in Olathe.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, money counter and a member of a prayer group.
Lou is survived by his son Ed Jurado of Paola, Kansas, Manual Jurado of Denver, Colorado, daughter Becky Taylor of Paola, Kansas and a brother Raymond Jurado of Wichita, Kansas. Grandchildren are Diana Villa, Ruthie Ocon, Stephanie Parlato and Bella Jurado.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jane Jurado, mother Adrianna Jurado and Father Bonifacio Jurado.
A Rosary will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church on October 26, 2018 at 9:00am with visitation at 9:30, mass at 10:30 and burial at 12:30 at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery. Late lunch after burial at the church.
