Lou Ann Neal

Lou Ann Neal (Hollinger), 85, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on the 21st of November, 2024.

On the 20th of April, 1939, Lou Ann was born to Oren Hollinger and Irene Hollinger (Allen) in Norton, KS.

After graduating from Kansas State University, Lou Ann worked as a teacher for the Shawnee Mission School District, starting in 1962 at Broadmoor Junior High.

On the 22nd of December 1963, she married Willis G. Neal, and they made their home in Overland Park, Kansas. She took a leave from teaching for several years to raise their two boys. After returning to teaching, she taught at Hillcrest Junior High, which became Westridge Middle School, until her retirement.

She loved gardening and making time for her friends through activities such as playing bridge and traveling.

Lou Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willis. 

She is survived by her sons Cory and Dan and grandchildren Allison and Jackson. Lou Ann had a brother, Gary.
