Lorna Dawn "Pokey" Hall, 60, of Olathe, passed away on March 12, 2013 after battling cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion.
Pokey was born on August 25, 1952 to Kenneth and Beverly (Ball) Gillespie at Riverdale, North Dakota. She was raised in Minot, North Dakota as a daughter of an Air Force base Fire Chief. She was a graduate of Olathe High School and later married Robert Hall on December 26, 1970.
She was a current member and President of the American Legion Post #153 Women's Auxiliary and a member of the Ladies of the Abdallah Shriners Truckers Unit. She was a number one fan of Mickey Mouse and a had a life long collection of Mickey memorabilia which is proudly displayed at her business, Ro-Bo Carwash, in Olathe. Pokey was also an avid KC Chiefs fan.
Lorna is survived by her husband Robert Hall; brother, Ken "Dizzy" Gillespie; sister, Leigh Allen and six nieces and nephews.
