LORETTA JANE MCGINLEY (HUBER)
67, of Olathe, KS, passed to her Lord on February 11, 2006 at home after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14 from 6:00-8:00p.m. in the chapel of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS, with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 15 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 900 South Honeysuckle, Olathe, KS. A committal of her cremated remains will follow in the Bayard Nebraska Cemetery on Saturday, February 18, at 11:00 a.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Catholic Community Charities, 333 E. Poplar, Olathe, KS 66061, or to St. Paul's Catholic Church, 900 South Honeysuckle, Olathe, KS 66061.
Loretta was born in Scottsbluff, NE, to Jake and Marie Huber. The family farmed in McGrew, NE and eventually moved east of Bayard, NE where they continued farming. Loretta graduated from Bayard High School in 1955 and went on to attend Scottsbluff Junior College for one semester before marrying Mr. Frank McGinley on November 24, 1956.
During her lifetime, Loretta was a wife and mother, homemaker, accountant, Victorian crafter, Pink Lady Volunteer, office manager, Cub Scout leader, Cub Master, published poet and she loved bowling.

Loretta is survived by her husband, Frank McGinley of the home, three sons; Steven of North Platte, NE, Byron of Martinez, CA, and Jeffrey of Mountain Home, ID, her sister Linda Dickerson of Kimball, NE, her grandchildren Jenna McGinley of Manhattan, KS, Caitlyn McGinley of Goodland, KS, Mitchell and Jared McGinley of Mountain Home, ID, and Jonathan Miles of San Diego, CA.
