Loren Drews

Loren E. Drews, 77, of Olathe, KS passed away Monday February 20,2012 at his home. Loren was born January 16, 1935 in Olathe, KS to Carl and Mildred Drews. Loren graduated from Olathe High School in 1953. He further attended the University of Kansas where he studied Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. He served overseas in the U.S. Army and received an Honorable Discharge. His professional career spanned many years including being an associate partner with Shaffer, Kline and Warren, P.A. Later to form a partnership in 1980 with Gary Allenbrand, L.S. as Allenbrand, Drews, and Associates until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Duane Drews. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Norma J. Drews, a daughter Deb Drews-Spruytte, a son Eric Drews (Debra Jones),a grandson Brett Spruytte (Brittany Malnicof), a granddaughter Victoria Spruytte and his belove dog Hannah. Additional survivors include Charles (Betty) Drews, Carol Bodiford, Elenanor Richardson, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Olathe Medical Center Hospice House or the First Christian Church of Olathe.
