Lois Nadine Stewart, 88, of Olathe, Kan., went home to her Lord on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Good Samaritan Center.
Lois was born November 1, 1926, in Wilder, Kan., the daughter of Otis and Pearl Reed.
She graduated from Olathe High School in 1944.
She was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration, where she met her husband, Robert Stewart. She was always an active member of her church, most recently New Hope Presbyterian Church in Olathe.
She enjoyed puzzles, board games, weekly bible study meetings and hosting family get-togethers.
Lois was the dear mother of Robert Montgomery; grandmother of Robert Masterson, Sara Thompson (Sydney), Ashley Billam (Andrew), and Neal Montgomery (Emily); and great grandmother of Jordan, Jacob, Shania, Joshua, Emme, and Owen. Other survivors include her sister, Rebecca Sheeks; 10 nephews and nieces; and lifelong friend Juanita Turner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, daughter, Melanie Hays; brother, Buford Reed; and two sisters, Roberta Magers and Ruby Mahaffie.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 17 at Penwell Gabel Olathe Chapel. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 16 at Penwell Gabel.
