Lois Luke

Lois Sherril (Brubaker) Luke was born August 15, 1935, to Albert Thomas Brubaker and Edna Florence (Carter) Brubaker in Topeka, Kansas. She passed away May 22, 2016. Lois attended public schools in Topeka, graduating from Topeka High School. She had a choice of two scholarships, one for art and one for nursing. She chose a nursing career, graduating from Stormont Vail School of Nursing in Topeka. She was married January 7, 1956 to Gerald D. Luke, Sr. She and Gerald Sr., were sealed for time and eternity June 1960 in the Salt Lake City Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. During the marriage there were 5 children born to this union, Gerald D. Jr., Mark Sean (died at birth), Michael O., Cheryl (deceased) and James T.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ chapel located at 15915 West 143rd Street, Olathe, Ks. Burial will be at the Penwell-Gable Cemetery located at 3616 SW 6th Street, Topeka, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Hospice House of Olathe.
