Lisa Margaret (Bergman) Carder, Age 55 from Olathe, Kansas, passed away from injuries in a car accident near Terre Haute, Indiana on Sunday, September 16, 2012.
Lisa was born on August 1, 1957 to Kenneth and Helen Bergman in Kansas City, MO and baptized in the Christian faith at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was confirmed in 1971 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall, Missouri. She grew up in Marshall and was a 1975 graduate of Marshall High School. She graduated in 1980 from Southwest Missouri State University with a degree in Biology and Medical Technology. She worked for 32 years as a Medical technologist in the Kansas City area, most recently at Research Medical Center.
She was united in marriage on July 17, 1982 to Thomas Carder. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include daughter Katie Carder of Olathe, and son James Carder of Lawrence, Kansas; parents Kenneth and Helen Bergman of Lee's Summit; sister Leah Kuhlman and husband Dan of Lecompton, Kansas; brother Roger Bergman and wife Janet of Holt's Summit, Missouri; sister Julie Watson and husband Jay of Lee's Summit, Missouri; sister-in-law Rhonda (Carder) Halliday and husband Bill of Houston, Texas; along with 9 nieces and nephews.
Lisa was an avid pet lover and was surrounded at home by three cats and two dogs. She spent much of her time gardening in the backyard at home.
