Lineta G. Castor

Lineta Gay Castor of Osawatomie Kansas died Tuesday, April 2nd 2019 at North point in Paola Kansas. Surrounded by her loving family and the caring staff from North Point and Ascend Hospice.

Lineta was born on February 9th,1959 in Kansas City, Kansas The 2nd child to the late Dallas and Evelyn Castor. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in Springfield, MO.

Lineta worked at many different retail jobs over the years, as a Supervisor. She loved her job at Moon's IGA in Osawatomie Kansas, and her job at the Senior Center in Osawatomie, Kansas.

Lineta enjoyed dancing, cruising down Kearney Street in Springfield. She loved bowling and playing a variety of sports and watching them on TV. One of her favorite things to do was bring her family and friends together on Sundays and cook for them. But most importantly she loved critiquing other peoples cooking! She loved watching HGTV and deal or no deal. She really loved her music, and she listened to many different types. But she especially loved her Brooks & Dunn! And her Dogs, Sophie , Diamond and Rowdy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dallas and Evelyn Castor, her sister Beverly Howard, and nephew Scott (Scoot) Leach.

She will be deeply mourned by her daughter Taylor Castor and two grandchildren Lettie And Bayne Brewer. Her brother Richard Castor Her sister Dalleta Dutra , Her sister Dolores Redifer and husband Calvin, And her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Lineta had a huge family and will be missed by everyone!

Lineta's family would like to say thank you to the many caring people at North Point of Paola, Ascend Hospice. The love and compassion these facilities showed is greatly appreciated.

Lineta's celebration of life will be held at the Youth Center at Cross Point Assembly of God, 1016 North Pearl Street, Paola, Kansas on Saturday April 13th at 1 pm.
