Linda Marie Sauer

Linda Marie Sauer, 69, of Olathe, passed away on February 6, 2017. Linda was born in Topeka, KS on October 2, 1947 to Oliver and Thelma Taylor.
She moved to Ottawa, Kansas at an early age and lived there until her marriage to her husband, Jack on August 26, 1967. They moved to Overland Park, KS shortly thereafter and have resided in the Overland Park/Olathe area since then.
She was blessed with a son, Troy in 1972 and a daughter, Kelli in 1977. While Linda had many hobbies and interests over the years, she devoted her life to her family. She looked forward to the next get together and was frequently teased about the time she spent planning. She was full of life and enjoyed being around people.
Linda was preceded in death by her dad, Oliver Taylor, her mom, Thelma Brenner, her stepdad, Bob Brenner, her stepmom, Bonnie Taylor, a brother Wes Taylor and a sister Becky Horton.
She is survived by her husband, Jack, of 50 years, son Troy, his wife, Janeen and their children, Haley & Megan, daughter Kelli Slead, her husband, Dustin and their children, Anya, Dodge, Emma, Abbi, Bane, Darman & Cassus, sisters Jane Boles & Nancy Taylor, brothers Corey Brenner & Greg Taylor.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, February 10, 2017, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel funeral home in Olathe. A memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to either The American Lung Association, 6701 W. 64th St. #110, Shawnee Mission, KS 66202 or to the American Cancer Society, 1120 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64105.
