Linda Lee Hicks

Linda Lee Hicks born January 17, 1944, died January 26, 2022. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29th from 1-2 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Black Bob Rd., Olathe, KS with a funeral service starting at 2 pm. Burial to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Overland Park, KS.

Linda graduated from St. Teresa High School & attended Avila College. Linda worked for Braniff International Airlines, as a flight attendant before having her family. Linda is preceded in death by son Steven Hicks & parents Lee & Margaret Hardwick.

Linda enjoyed her family events such as camping, fishing, traveling and researching family genealogy of her Irish heritage. Linda leaves her daughter Andrea Bartholomew & husband Steve, and grandsons Thomas Kellerman & Devin Butter, sister Karen Mellody & husband Jim, brother Jim Hardwick and wife Kathy. Along with nephews Jim Mellody III & wife Michelle & Jamie Hardwick. Nieces Lesley Hofer & husband Scott and Meg Hardwick & grandnieces Jenna, Addison, Aiden, Payton, Mya & Katie.

Also mourning her loss is beloved cousin in New Zealand, Susie Reid and extended family in Georgia, Louisiana & Texas. Linda will be greatly missed by all. Family wishes to thank all staff members in the Advent Health Systems for Linda's care.
