Linda Blaylock, 59, life long resident of Olathe, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007 after a long illness. She was at home surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband of 43 years; Jim, son; Bob (Carla) Blaylock of Spring Hill, KS, daughters; Susan (Chris) Petersen of Bonner Springs, KS, and Amy (Cam) Baldwin Blackshear, GA, four grandchildren that are very dear to her heart, Branden and Christy Petersen and Jamie and Harleigh Baldwin, and a brother; Larry Dishman.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother; Darline Vinzant, step-father; Paul Vinzant and her father; Gene Brown.
Linda was very involved with her family and their activities. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for many years, and a teacher's aid at Ridgeview Elementary when her kids were attending grade school. She attended all of their sporting events, showing her support. She later became involved with Hope House and enjoyed Volksmarch Walks. She spent most of her career in the trucking industry and retired from Deffenbaugh Disposal. Linda then enjoyed traveling around the country with her husband.
