Lillian (Rockers) Maggard, 74, Olathe, KS passed away, Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Santa Marta Nursing Center in Olathe. The family suggests contributions to Hospice of Olathe Medical Center and/or St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe.
Lillian was born April 11, 1934 in Scipio, KS to Jacob and Mary (Strobel) Rockers, living in Topeka, KS where she graduated from Hayden High School. She went to work at Southwestern Bell Telephone where she met her husband William "Bill" Maggard (who preceded her in death in 1989) and they were married in 1954. They moved to Olathe in 1966 where they raised their four children. In 1974 she went to work at Olathe (North) High School where she held life long relationships and memories from her 23 years before retiring.
She was member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, member and Past-President of the Earl Collier Post #153 of the American Legion Auxiliary and member of the 8/40 Club. She was also an active member of the Olathe District Schools - Retired Employees Association.
She was also preceded in death by a nephew; Jamie Jewell.
She leaves three daughters; Joleen (Vince) Hallouer, Mary (Doug) Huston, Deanna (Rodger) Patterson, one son; Robert (Linda) Maggard, all of Olathe, ten grandchildren; Kerri, Andrea, Kathi, Heidi, Christy, Mary, Brett, Douglas, Zachary, and Alex, five great grandchildren; Brittney, Kellen, Karter, Henry, and Avery, three brothers; Father Al Rockers, Floyd (Louie) Rockers, and Glenn (Barb) Rockers, and one sister; Carolee "Kip" (Herb) Jewell, and brothers-in-law; Thomas (Millie) Maggard and Steve (Jan) Maggard.
