LEROY A. ELLSWORTH
Age 86, passed away in Olathe, KS on November 12, 2011. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 18 at 2:00pm at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 7230 Quivira Rd, Shawnee, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Good Samaritan Society of Olathe or to the church.
Leroy was born June 1, 1925 in Hotchkiss, CO to Calvary and Lela Mae Ellsworth. He served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and later served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Ruth Frownfelter on June 5, 1949 in Dighton, KS, and together they made their home in Olathe, KS. Leroy retired from Ozark National Life as Agency Secretary in 1986.
Leroy and his wife, Ruth, were long-time members of GCFC, and active as volunteers.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth, his children Terry and Teresa Ellsworth, Stan and Lori Ellsworth, Phil and Jan Ellsworth and Diana and Mark Pemberton, thirteen grandchildren; Nathan (Leslie) Ellsworth, Sarah (Gary) Sutterby, Luke (Joy) Ellsworth, Sean (Harleigh) Ellsworth, Joshua (Kendra) Ellsworth, Heather (David) Lucas, Amanda (Nathan) Johnson, Jared Ellsworth, Danielle Pemberton, Courtney (Chris) Garcia, Zach Pemberton, step-grandchildren Paige Theisman and Hope Theisman, nine great-grandchildren, sister Luella Lewis, and brothers Oscar and Ronald Ellsworth. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
