Leatrice R. Chapman, of Overland Park, Kansas, 84, passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at Indian Meadows Nursing Center Overland Park, Kansas. Cremation is planned with inurnment in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
She graduated from Clay Center Community High School in 1943 then married John H. Chapman in 1951. She retired from the Kansas City Star in 1988.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Remund of Olathe and Barbara Simmons of Fairway, Kansas, four grandchildren.
