Leah Renae Linhardt

Leah Renae Linhardt, 14, of Olathe, passed away on November 23, 2019. She was born on June 26, 2005 to Joel and Amanda (Bellinder) Linhardt in Manhattan, KS.
Leah was born with a giving and loving heart and took every opportunity she could to make others happy. Leah spent most of her childhood in Wamego, KS. In Wamego, she attended school through 6th grade. At that time she moved to Olathe, KS where she attended Frontier Trail Middle school for 7th and 8th grade and then began attending school as a freshman at Olathe South High School. She took an early interest in music and started playing flute before she started 3rd grade and had become an excellent flutist, including making marching band as a freshman with the Olathe South Falcon Regiment. She spent a lot of free time doing all sorts of crafts. She was incredibly creative. Since she was little she has made furniture and accessories for her dolls; wonderful drawings, paintings, and pictures; and even began decorating clothing and other items for herself and friends. Leah also had a joy for dancing and would always walk into a room doing some dance move just to be silly to put a smile on your face. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her little cousins, always bringing joy to any room with her bright blue eyes, beautiful smile and unique sense of humor.
Leah is survived by her loving parents, Joel and Amanda Linhardt and little brother, Gabe Linhardt; grandparents Rick and Paulette Bellinder of St. George, KS; grandparents Sam and Rose Linhardt of Olsburg, KS; great grandfather Gene Straub; great grandmother May Day; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her uncle Derek Bellinder, her great grandparents Frances and Margaret Bellinder, Paul and Beth Prockish, Clyde and Norma Linhardt, James Day, and Irma Straub.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, November 29, 2019, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel. The Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at the Journey Bible Church in Olathe.
