1942-2015


Lawrence S. Jenkins, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 at home with his family.

He was born on March 28, 1942 to Edward and Rose Jenkins. Larry graduated from Cornell University with an BEE and MBA in 1965. He met his wife, Kathleen A. Jenkins, in 1966 and soon after started a life and family together. He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a proud Papa. Larry was in the finace industry most of his life. After a couple of years in New York and a few more in Chicago, he relocated to Kansas City for work in 1976. Larry and Kathy made a permanent home in Kansas where they raised their two children.

Larry is survived by his wife, Kathy, his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kelly Jenkins of Huntington Beach, CA, his daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Chris Merkel of Overland Park, KS, and his 5 beautiful grandchildren, Maddy (10), Gabby (8) Lucy (6) Jenkins, and Shelby (13) and Henry (10) Merkel.

He was preceeded in death by his father, Edward Jenkins, and mother, Rose Jenkins.
