LAWRENCE E. FREEMAN
Lawrence E. Freeman, 64, former resident of Olathe, died at his
daughter's home in Peculiar, MO on Sept. 10th, after a short battle with
cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Evelyn Freeman,
and brother-in-law Andy Loftus.
Larry was born in Orange County, CA. He and his two brothers enjoyed many
days at the beach with friends and family. He graduated from Tustin High
School. After high school he joined the Air Force. He spent part of his duty
in Lybia, N. Africa. He returned to Olathe, and retired from Gill Studios in
2002.
Larry enjoyed sports, and being at the lake. He most enjoyed his children
and their families. He liked playing the itsy-bitsy spider game with his
grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Helen, and 3 children, Tina and
Greg Derby, Denny and Penny Freeman, and Danette and Brandon Sutherland.
Grandchildren, Brennan and Mattison Derby, Cooper, Carson, and Chase
Freeman, and Hallory and Baylor Sutherland. Brothers, Stan Freeman
(Rosemary) of Aneheim, CA, and Tom Freeman (Ilene) of Carson City, NV. And
14 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, from 5-7 p.m. at
Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS. Recitation of
the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 13
at 10 a.m., at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 900 Honeysuckle, Olathe, KS.
