Lawrence John Driscoll, born October 20, 1951, passed away peacefully at the age of 70, on December 28, 2021.
Larry is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Janice Faye Driscoll. His father, John Leroy Driscoll and Mother, Magdalen Ann Driscoll.
Larry is survived by his 4 children, Nathan Driscoll of Lenexa KS, Lynn Driscoll of Beaverton OR, Lana Emerson, of Pleasant Valley MO, Roger Driscoll, and daughter-in-law, Michelle, of Wentzville MO. Siblings, Mari Foster of Grants Pass OR, Jerry Driscoll, of Sheboygan WI, Terri Quevedo, and Kenneth Driscoll of Rockford IL. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Mathew, Cara, Barrett, and Logan.
Larry Driscoll was born in Cedar Rapids, IA. He married his wife, Janice, on June 19, 1976. They had 4 children together.
In youth and early adulthood, Larry had a joy of adventure that would take him rock-climbing, cliff diving, and repelling. Larry had a love of Scouting which he passed on and shared with his children as all 4 were active in a variety of Scouting organizations. Larry was an avid seeker of knowledge and life experiences, which he enjoyed continuously sharing with his family.
In his early years, Larry greatly enjoyed being a jeweler apprentice with Siebke Hoyt in Cedar Rapids, IA and being a welder with the Chicago NorthWestern Railroad. Larry's greatest passion was for his family, and cherished being a father and grandfather. Larry loved telling stories with emotion and comedy providing wonderful memories for anyone that was listening. The majority of his stories invoked laughter and are still repeated within the family with loving affection.
Larry will be sorely missed by all of his family, friends, and anyone who knew him.
