Lawrence Bowles

Born July 14, 1925 in Norborne, MO, went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2005. Interment, Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, MO. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, or to the church. Larry served our country in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947 and was stationed in Korea. Upon returning from his service, he began a 39-year career with General Motors, retiring as a Regional Manager. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Olathe for the past fourteen years, was always willing to help those in need. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Bowles, his children Stephen (Donna) Bowles and Barbara Ambrosi, both of Durango, CO, his step-children Cynthia Crumley, Melody Balentine, and Merrie Rucker, his sister Katie Lightner, and brothers Paul and Leroy Bowles, and twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dollie Bowles, and brothers John and Jackson Bowles.
