LaVon Evelyn Gray, 87, of Olathe, passed away on April 1, 2024, at Anthology of Olathe.
She was born on July 16, 1936, to Theodore and Marie (Gruber) Schlesener at Hope, KS.
On February 24, 1957, she married Kenneth Eugene Gray, and they made their home in Olathe, Kansas.
LaVon worked as an Electroplater for King Radio for many years and was also employed as a nurses aide in both Salina and Olathe and as a groundskeeper/gardener at Kansas School for the Deaf.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling and the company of her family.
LaVon is survived by her sons, Dennis (Pat) Gray, Olathe, and Duane (Nola) Gray, Olathe; three grandchildren, Larry (Emily) and Naomi, both of Merriam and Matthew, Olathe; and sister, Marlene, of Minnesota and brother, Gene, of Hope, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth, and sister Virginia.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 920 S. Alta Lane, Olathe, Kansas.
