Laura Ann Fenner, 49, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022. She was born on July 17, 1973 in Independence, Missouri. Her parents were Robert and Debra (Sexton) Cook.
Laura spent her elementary school years in Tonganoxie, Kansas, and she graduated in 1991 from Blue Valley High School.
She was married to Christopher Fenner on March 1, 1997 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Laura loved movies, music, water and sunshine and being at the lake.
She enjoyed playing Bunco, and singing karaoke, and she loved to entertain family and friends.
Above all, more than anything - Laura loved her kids, and she was a devoted mother of four.
Laura is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Fenner; parents, Robert and Debra Cook; by her four children: Madeline, Thomas, Stephanie, and Rachel, and also siblings Carrie Ohm and Matthew Cook.
Laura worked as an early childhood educator at Heatherstone Elementary School in Olathe, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Bobby and Elsie Cook.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 1:00-2:00pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Laura's memory be made to either the
Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association or to the
Mayo Clinic.
