Laura Jane Dyson, 76, of De Soto, Kansas, passed away on April 24, 2015 in Olathe, KS. She was born March 1, 1939, to David and Lucille (Lipp) Lindsay in Leavenworth, KS. She grew up in the area, graduating from Leavenworth High School.

She met her husband, Robert Dyson while working at the movie theatre in Leavenworth. They were married October 17, 1959 and were married 55 years upon her death. They settled in De Soto where they built their family home. Laura raised her children and later worked as a Registered Nurse at Olathe Medical Center. She was a member of St Paul's Catholic Church since 1974, participating in church groups and volunteered in activities.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother and is survived by her loving husband Robert, brother David Lindsay, of St Maries, ID, son Richard Dyson of Iowa City, IA, daughters Lynda Riley of Pomona, KS and Sharon Stimatze of Louisburg, KS, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation is Thursday April 30, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe and memorial services are May 1, 2015. Laura will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lansing, KS.
