Larry Daniel Waye

Larry Daniel Waye, 82, of Shawnee, passed away April 10, 2023.
He was born on June 28, 1940 to Gerald and Willeta (Wilson) Waye at Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Larry worked as a Safety Manager for the City of Topeka, retiring in 2001.
On June 19, 1971, he married Mary Potter, and they made their home in Wichita, Kansas. They also lived in England, Topeka, KS, and Shawnee, KS since 2006.
He was a member of Church of the Resurrection West, and he enjoyed participating in the church men's group, traveling, and television sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, KU Basketball, and the Indianapolis 500.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughters Kimberly Ramaley and Kristina Jorgensen. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Church of the Resurrection, Generation to Generation Campaign.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 12:00pm at the Church of the Resurrection West, 24000 W Valley Pkwy, Olathe, Kansas 66061
