Larry W. Loyd

September 16, 1959 — July 5, 2021

Larry Wayne Loyd, 61, of Olathe, KS passed away unexpectedly Monday July 5, 2021 at home.

Larry was born September 16, 1959 in San Bernardino, California to James and Betty Loyd. Larry married his wife Brook on July 11th, 1986.

Larry always had a smile on his face and was willing to give the shirt off his back for anyone needing help.
Larry loved the outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter, he loved to go fishing, and playing golf with his friends. He was a die hard Chiefs fan and a season ticket holder for over 30 years. Some of his favorite memories are of Chiefs games spent with his daughter Jessica, driving and finding new places with his wife Brook, and sitting in his tree stand in Olathe. Larry had a talent for winning radio contests and was always bringing home tickets to concerts and events.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandmother Opal, his mother Betty, his father James, his son Casey, and his uncle John and his aunt Sally.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Brookie Loyd, his daughters Holly Taylor (Loyd), Jessica Loyd-Mullins, his son-in-law Austin Mullins, his brothers Bob Brown, Jim Brown, John Loyd, Robert Gahagan, his sister Tina Loyd, and his in-laws Chuck and Marcia Hedrick.

A celebration of his life will be 1PM Saturday July 24th at Olathe Christian Church 1115 S. Ridgeview Rd. Olathe, KS 66062

You can only access the church by going to Clairborne Rd. from north or south I-35 to Sunvale and turn right. Goes straight into church parking lot.
