Larry J. Simpson, 70, of Gardner, passed away on July 18, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Kansas City, MO. He was born on March 5, 1944 to Jack Simpson and Helen Josephine (Hughes) Simpson in Kansas City, MO.
On September 2, 1967, he married Nancy C. Montee. Larry began his career with Santa Fe, retired from Yellow Freight after almost 20 years of service.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, daughter, Lara L. Hansen and son-in-law, Seth, son, Larry "Joe" Joseph Simpson, brother, Guy K. Simpson, and grandchildren Cooper and Alexis Hansen, and his mother, Helen Josephine Simpson. He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Luke's Hospice House.
