Larry A. Evans, 72, of Olathe, KS, passed away on May 1st, 2019 at Olathe Medical Center.
Larry was born on July 7th, 1946 to Arthur & Helen (Brown) Evans. Larry worked as Distributor Clerk for the Shawnee Mission & Blue Valley Post Office (USPS) for 26 years. On June 29th of 1968, he married Linda Evans (Biggerstaff) and they were married for 50 years. They lived together happily for these 50 years in Olathe, Kansas.
Larry grew up in Girard, Kansas and as a youth was an Eagle Scout and very involved in sports at Kansas School for the Deaf where he graduated from in 1967. Larry enjoyed woodworking, The Kansas City Royals, many other sports.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Linda Evans, son Lee Evans (LeeAnn), daughter Jill Staab (Jeremy), six grandchildren Madison, Padyn, Tristan, Mikaila, Adrian, and Eban, and three great grandchildren Mason, Miranda, and Garrus. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Helen Evans, and son Mark Evans.
The visitation will be held Sunday, May 5th, 2019 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe from 3-4PM with a memorial service at 4PM.
Memorials and donations are welcome and can be made to Linda Evans.
