LARRY W. DEUSCHLE, age 66, passed away October 29, 2011 in Olathe, KS. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Blackbob, Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers, remembrances are suggested to the family for a memorial to be established in Larry's honor.
Larry was born on November 20, 1944 in Pilot Grove, MO to Carl and Helen Deuschle. He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and upon returning he married Janice Edwards on January 15, 1972.
Larry was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone for 38 years, retiring in November 2000. He was a skilled craftsman, and enjoyed creating and building for his family. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing at Hillsdale and Truman Lake.
Surviving are his wife, Janice, his sons Allen (Laurie)of Olathe, Andrew (Gabriella)of Lubbock, TX, and Matthew (Jodi)of Kansas City, MO, grandchildren Brent, Brandon, Courtney, Lydia, Marcus, Sophie, and Spencer. He is also survived by his brother Ron Deuschle, his sister Helen Marie Barbee, and his mother-in-law, Ruth Edwards (Sedalia, MO). He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Edwin Deuschle.
He was a beloved husband, father and GRANDfather, and will be deeply missed by all.
