Larry Christensen

LARRY KENT CHRISTENSEN, Age 72, passed away January 2, 2012 in Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5 from 6:00-8:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Blackbob, Olathe, KS, followed by funeral services on Friday, January 6 at 10:00am at Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 S. Ridgeview, Olathe, KS. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 11:00am at Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina, KS. Memorials are suggested to the Grace United Methodist Church.

Larry was born June 30, 1939 in Salina, KS to Orval "Pete" and Clila Christensen. He was a graduate of Salina High School and Kansas Wesleyan University. Larry was employed with Equifax Services as an insurance investigator and also Graves Trucking Company. A long-time member of Grace United Methodist Church in Olathe Kansas, he served as an usher for many years.

In earlier years, he was an avid golfer winning many tournaments while in college.

He is survived by his brother Mike (Gaye) Christensen and one nephew, Gary Christensen, and cousins Raymond Anderson, Ivan Anderson, Ruth Parker, Bonnie Packard, and Keith Long.
