Lance Mills

Lance Mills, 72 of Olathe, KS passed away Saturday Aug. 24th, 2013 at Pinnacle Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center. A visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM Wed. Aug. 28th at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, PA, a viewing will be held from 10-11AM Thursday Aug. 29th with the funeral service at 11AM at Zion E.C. Church, Myerstown, PA. A memorial service will be 7PM Monday Sept. 9th at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 9333 W. 159th St. Overland Park, KS 66221. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Evangelical Seminary, 121 S. College St. Myerstown, PA 17067 or the Alzheimer's Assoc. 3846 W. 75th. St. Prairie Village, KS 66208.

Lance was born Jan. 14, 1941 in Pottsville, PA to Lance and Rita Mills. He pastored for 37 years in numerous Evangelical Congregational churches across Pennsylvania.

Lance was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Carol and their daughters; Janey Currey (Nathan), Rita Barillas (Gerardo), and Rebekah Daye (David). Grandchildren; Emily, Josh, Rebekah and Meghan Currey, Alejandra, Mateo, Lucas Barillas, and Lindsay, Ethan, Gibson and Ainsley Daye. He is also survived by his sister Doris Nader, brother Franklin Mills and his cousin Marie Smith and family.
