KYLE CREIGHTON BARKER
Age 29, passed away December 19, 2007 at his home in Olathe, KS. A memorial service will be held on December 28, 2007 at 3:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS, where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to the KSU Foundation, 2323 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66502, in care of the Kyle Creighton Barker Memorial Fund, #M46754.
Kyle was born October 14, 1978 in Wichita, KS to Gerald and Deba Barker. He graduated from Wichita South High School in 1997, and went on to attend Kansas State University, where he received a degree in Political Science and also served as Student Body President in 2001. He was currently in the Master's Program at the University of Kansas, and was planning to attend law school in the fall of 2008. He was also employed with DeWalt Tools.
His loving family survives him, including his parents, Gerald and Deba Barker, Spring Hill, KS, his sister Kendra (Ed) Jenkins, Olathe, KS, brother Kelly (Danielle) Barker of Lawrence, KS, his grandmother, Betty Weatherwax, Tiverton, R.I., nephews, Nathaniel, Jonathan, Finn, one niece, Zora, and a host of friends.
