Kurisse Mamo Nemara, 49, of Overland Park, passed away on March 14, 2024 at Kansas City Hospice House.
He was born on November 18, 1974 to Mamo Nemara and Gadisse Dama at Omora, Ethiopia.
On September 5, 2002, he married Mestawut Deressa and they made their home in Overland Park, Kansas.
Kurisse was employed as a truck driver for Portable Transportation Company, and was working until the time of his illness.
He was a member of the Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church, and he enjoyed spending time with his family, singing, and praying.
Kurisse is survived by his loving wife, Mestawut Deressa, his children Hawi Mamo, Nafira Mamo, Halleuya Mamo, Noah Mamo, his brothers and sisters, and his mother.
He was preceded in death by his father.
