KEVIN MICHAEL WHELAN, age 81, passed away April 23, 2024. He was born December 27, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio to Kevin James Whelan and Mary Margaret (Voglewede).
He graduated from St. Francis de Sales in Toledo, Ohio and graduated from Rockhurst in Kansas City, Missouri with a bachelor's degree in physics.
On June 22, 1968, he married Maxine Rose (Waldorf), who was the love of his life. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2015.
Kevin enjoyed a career in Information Technology, retiring as a Senior Systems Analyst.
He was particularly devout in his faith and enjoyed spending time in prayer and reading the scriptures.
Kevin is survived by his loving son, Kevin Joseph Whelan, his brother Jim Whelan, and his sisters Pat (Dick) Kalich, Peg (Jim) Millard, Nancy (Terry) Heyns, and Kathy Newell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, his parents, his sister-in-law, Pat Whelan, and his brother-in-law, Phil Newell.
Private services will be held.
