Kevin Mcdaniel

Kevin Scott McDaniel, age 50, of Olathe, KS, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2015 at Olathe Medical Center.

He was born on August 3, 1964 in Anderson, Indian to Darrel and Joan McDaniel, and they moved to Olathe, KS in 1971. Kevin graduated from Olathe South High School in 1983. He went on to attend Johnson County Community College.

Kevin joined Troop 89 of the Boy Scouts and received his Eagle Scout Award on April 4, 1982. While in the Boy Scouts, he was in the Order of the Arrow at Camp Nash Scout Reservation and a Warrior of the Mic-O-Say Tribe at H.Roe Bartle Scout Reservation.

Surviving are his parents, Darrel and Joan McDaniel, his sister Christy McDaniel, his aunt Sally DeGarmo, several cousins and a host of dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunt Jean Seyler, uncles Lesley Seyler and Jay DeGarmo, and infant sister Teresa Jean McDaniel. Kevin was an avid Jayhawk fan, and enjoyed attending KU basketball and football games with his family and friends.
