Kerry Kathleen Lundergan, 40, of Leawood, KS, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 13, 2019. She was born on February 20, 1979 to Edward and Cathleen (Charette) Lundergan in St. Louis, MO and grew up in St. Charles County, MO.
After graduating from St. Dominic High School in O'Fallon, MO, Kerry earned (with honors) a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance & Banking and Real Estate from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and then went on to earn a Juris Doctor and Master of Law in Taxation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. She enjoyed putting her legal skills to use as a negotiation manager at Sprint Corporation.
Kerry is survived by her loving sisters, Laura (Ed) Swindle, Jennifer (Bob) Crowder, and Kim (Brian) Reimer. She will be missed everyday by her adoring nieces and nephews: Jason Swindle, Colbi Crowder, Paige Crowder, Andrew Reimer, Abbie Reimer and Easton Crowder.
The majority of Kerry's time was spent with her nieces and nephews, as well as her family and extended KC family. Whether it was soccer, baseball, basketball, football, volleyball or gymnastics, you were sure to find Kerry on the sidelines cheering for her niece or nephew and their teammates. She cherished time spent at Tablerock Lake, fishing, boating, and relaxing with friends and family. Known fondly as "Ker-Bear" and without a doubt "The Favorite Aunt", she will not be forgotten and cannot be replaced.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019, at Penwell-Gabel's Olathe Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th Street, Leawood, KS 66209.
Memorial contributions may be given to either the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City, https://www.kcdsg.org/supportkcdsg.php, or or the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, https://www.tsalliance.org/donate/.
Through her extended family, Kerry has been active in fundraisers that benefit each of these organizations.
