Keri Northcutt Penrod, 50, was taken home to the Lord on September 29, 2020 after a short illness not associated with Covid at KU Medical Center. She was born January 8, 1970 in Lacrosse, Wisconsin to William (Bill) and Priscilla (Wood) Northcutt.
Keri graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1988. Following high school she attended college at Freed-Hardeman. She worked at Wendy's and K-Mart while in high school. She started her career at Missouri Sewing Machine and then worked 22 years at Fed Ex. She also helped Tony start Title Boxing sewing many prototypes.
She married Tony Carbajo on August 13, 1993 and she later wed Bryan Penrod on September 30, 2017.
Keri was a friend to everyone she met and was proud of her big beautiful (TEETH) smile. She loved to laugh and spend time at her pool as well as spending time with family and friends. She was a loving daughter who cared for her mother after her father passed away as well as she made sure to call her momma every week once she moved out.
She is survived by her husband Bryan of Overland Park, her daughters Ashley Day and Samantha Penrod both of Platt City, grandchildren Bailee, Harper and Elliott, her mother Priscilla Northcutt of Murfreesboro, TN. mother-in-law Cathryn Penrod of Claycomo, MO, sisters Alicia (Mark) Dycus of Murfreesboro, TN and Marcie (Anthony) Wilson of Wichita, KS, nieces and nephews Hilary Dycus, Hunter (Meredith) Dycus, Brock (Melissa) Wilson, Ashton (Colt) Callison, Matthew Wilson and Joseph Wilson.
She is preceded in death by her father, father-in-law Charles Udel Penrod and beloved pets Quincy and Spookie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 29, 2021 at 2:00pm at Penwell-Gabel 14275 South Blackbob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062 with visitation to follow until 5:00.
