Kenneth William Theno came into this world on December 30, 1937, the second son of Marion and Raymond Theno. He grew up in a large, loving family which grew to include three sisters, Deloris, Jean, and Kay as well as two brothers, Raymond and Jim.
He met the love of his life, Patricia Ann Cordill, while still in high school. After he graduated from high school, he moved to California, and Patricia went along. They were married on April 19th, 1958 in El Centro, California.
On October 31, 1961 he joined the United States Army and served our country as an aircraft maintenance worker. Upon his honorable discharge from the service, he found employment in the aircraft industry and eventually found himself working for TWA as an aircraft mechanic. Patricia also worked for TWA. The opportunity for a transfer brought the two of them back to Kansas City to be close to family, and also afforded them the luxury to be able to travel for next to nothing. This started their passion for world traveling. One can hardly name a place that they had not visited.
Ken enjoyed the company of his many friends with activities like golf, playing cards, and Dinner Club, which led him to love cooking. He loved being with people and enjoyed "happy hour" with a "bud light" held in his hand, or every now and then a martini. He always liked to be on the go. He loved being with people.
He loved his family, and they loved him. He was a sweet and tender man, full of life. On October 1, 2015, while surrounded by his family, he was reunited in death with his soulmate Patricia. He leaves a void that can not be filled. He will be missed.
