Kenneth N. Harwell Sr.

Kenneth (Ken) Harwell Sr. passed away on December 11, 2020 at the age of 84. Ken is survived by his wife Donna, his sons and their wives K. Neil (Jamie) Harwell, Jr, and Kevin (Judy) Harwell. Ken is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Ryan(Emilee) Harwell, Stephanie(Clent) Stewart, Drew Harwell, and Jenna (John) Elrod. Ken was also blessed with 8 great-grandchildren. Ken grew up in College Grove, TN with his grandparents after losing his parents at an early age. Ken then attended and graduated from Lipscomb University in 1958 where he met and married the love of his life Donna. After moving to Kansas City in 1963, Ken worked for many years as a Vice President for the American Polled Hereford Association. Ken was also a long time member of the Overland Park Church of Christ where he served as an elder for more than 40 years. He also served on the Board of Directors for Christian Family Services for several years. Ken will always be remembered for his faith, quick wit, love of sports, and great compassion. He will also be remembered for his perpetual enthusiasm, optimism, encouraging spirit, and service to others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
