From her earliest years, Kelly brought to our world a sense of wonder and adventure, passion
for life, and boundless creativity. The greatest blessing she brought was her genuine love and
sensitivity toward all those she knew. High or low, rich or poor, young or old, she was equally
attentive to all.
So much could be said about all of Kelly's many talents and interests. She was an exceptionally
talented artist. Sketchbooks and pencils were with her most of the time. She loved doing
sculpting projects with her Daddy. She was a natural leader, getting those around her excited
about going along with her fun and creative ideas. She was a thrill seeker. She bungee jumped
from one of the highest bridges in the world, in Costa Rica. She was gifted with languages and
accents. She loved her Costa Rican heritage, especially having coffee and Costa Rican food
with her "Abuelito" (grandpa).
Though her latter years were marked by pain and struggle, and for that we grieve, she never
stopped loving us all. She loved her family, adored her husband, and was most fulfilled when
being a Mama to her girls. Most importantly, she found the redeeming love of Jesus and spent
her last days soaking in God's tender love for her, and surrounded by her family and friends who
cannot fathom life without her.
Our comfort is in knowing that now, in heaven with Jesus, you are healed, whole, and with
boundless life and joy, our dear, sweet Kelly Pie!
