Keith McWatters, loving husband, father, "Papa", and brother, joined his parents in eternal life on Sunday, June 17, 2012. He was at home peacefully sleeping, surrounded by his loved ones. Keith was known for his larger-than-life personality, always full of jokes and enthusiasm. He greatly enjoyed fishing and cars, but his heart was with his family and his beloved companion Toby.
Keith was born on March 30, 1954 in Tulsa, OK, however he spent the last 25 years in KC. He had a long career in the retail industry, but more recently appreciated the freedom of operating his own business. Keith was a blessed man. When asked how he was doing, he always answered, "better than I deserve". He felt his greatest accomplishment was his family.
Those who will miss Keith dearly include his passionately devoted wife of 28 years, Debbie, his children, David and Aarika (McWatters) Wilson and Drew and Kasandra (McWatters) Miller, his grandchildren, Nate, Ben, and Charlotte Wilson. Keith has left behind many loved ones and has touched many lives over his 58 years. He has gone to be with our Lord and Savior and we know that he will continue to look upon all of us with love and affection.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care, where Keith volunteered for over 10 years helping those in need.
