KEITH E. HAWLEY
Born to Ralph Zeno Hawley and Angie Marie Hawley (Cantrall) on June 4, 1935 in Ocheltree (Spring Hill) Kansas. He spent much of his 89 years in and around the Olathe area. He proudly served our country in the Marine Corp in 1952 and was stationed in Santa Ana, California.
He started his career in the car industry working at dealerships in Olathe, Overland Park and Kansas City. In 1962, he worked toward a new career from his passion of flying airplanes. He was an incident-free private and commercial pilot with 22,000 hours and 50 years in a variety of aircraft. His most cherished flight was when he had the opportunity to fly a T38 fighter jet trainer out of Vance Airbase. He volunteered as bus driver for the special-needs population of the College Church of the Nazarene, and he treasured his time working as a safety officer at the Hillsdale Shooting Range.
He peacefully went to be with the Lord after a brief but quick heart ailment, on December 7, 2024.
Keith is survived by his wife Berny, sons – Mark (Melissa), Brad (Cindy), Bobby, Mike (Charlotte) and Pat (Kristi), daughters - Linda and Jami (Kris), 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family requests any donations to the Olathe Hospice House in lieu of flowers.
