Kathy Mudloff

March 20, 1946 — October 1, 2023

Kathleen 'Kathy' Mudloff, 77, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at home, surrounded by family after losing her battle with a very aggressive melanoma cancer.

Kathy was born on March 20, 1946, in Tripp, South Dakota to Arthur and Edna (Herr) Schelske. While growing up in South Dakota, she met her husband, Dave Mudloff. They married in November of 1965, moved to Grandview, Missouri, and later to Olathe, Kansas, where they enjoyed their lives together.

Kathy enjoyed a long life of being a mother, homemaker, and proud grandma. She later worked as a bookkeeper for 20 years until retiring to focus on family full time. Kathy never knew a stranger and was always willing to help family or friends. She was very active attending all of her kids' events and then continued the same with all of the grandkids. She also enjoyed her 'early' morning coffee, walks, and playing cards. Her friendly smile and sense of unity will be greatly missed!

Kathy is survived by her husband Dave Mudloff, two daughters, Brenda Starling and Jenean (George) Cayot, daughter in law Lori Mudloff, and her 7 grandchildren, Taylor and Chandler Starling, Reese and Ty Cayot, Austin and Colton Mudloff, Chase Greathouse, as well as sibling in-laws and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Chad Mudloff, and all of her siblings.

The family will be celebrating her life and mourning her loss in private. In lieu if flowers, the family asks that you love your family and friends and spend quality time together.
