Kathryn Ward

KATHRYN RUTH WARD, age 74, passed away April 14, 2011 in Overland Park, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Advent Lutheran Church to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Autism Speaks and the church.
Kay was born May 3, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN to Philip and Ruth Lindstedt. She was a graduate of Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis (1954) and the University of Minnesota School of Dental Hygiene. She married Marquis Ward on September 22, 1962.
Mark and Kay raised their family in Montevideo, MN where they lived for 43 years. They moved to Overland Park, KS in 2007. Kay was active in her church congregation and was an avid gardener.
Kay is survived by her husband, Mark, her daughters Rebecca (Alberto) Pochettino, Sharon (John) Jilovec, and Pamela (Jim) Weber, grandchildren Marcus, Michael, Andrew, Josh, Joseph, Jack, Jessie, Todd, and Matthew. She is also survived by her brother, James Lindstedt. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Philip "Bud" Lindstedt.
