Karen Ann Noll

Karen Ann Noll, 84, of Stilwell, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. She was born on June 13, 1936 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Loren and Elsie (Anderson) Noll.
She grew up and lived in Leavenworth until 1988, when she moved to Olathe and then to various other places in the immediate area. She worked at Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) in Lenexa from 1995 until her retirement. Her favorite activities included traveling, dining out, music and visiting with family and friends.
As a Special Olympics participant, she was recognized for her tremendous spirit and enthusiasm by being inducted into the Kansas City Sports Walk of Stars in 1993, and also won Most Inspirational Athlete at the 1993 Kansas Special Olympics event.
Karen is survived by her devoted and loving sister, Teresa (Paul) Jones of Olathe, her niece Melissa (Scot) Coker of Olathe, her grand-nieces Ava and Bryn Coker of Olathe and many relatives from the Leavenworth and Platte City area. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother, John Noll.
Many loving and caring people provided Karen with much appreciated kindness and friendship along her challenging and rewarding path. Despite her disabilities, Karen's endearing personality and enthusiasm, along with her sweet and ever-present smile, invariably prevailed during her entire life. There are too many names to mention individually, but her family would like to thank each and every one of them and provide special acknowledgement and love to Angela Pitts, Ione Johnson, Rita Patience and the dedicated organization and staff of Life Centers of Kansas.
Public viewing is available from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel. Her family will have a private funeral service with burial in Platte City Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in Karen's memory be made to the United Cerebral Palsy of Kansas organization.
