Karen L. Martley, 82, of Overland Park passed Friday, September 16, 2022. Karen's visitation has been postponed. Please check back for rescheduled times.
Karen was born February 20, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to Harold and Inez Clark. She attended Stanley High School in Stanley, KS. On Aug 10, 1957 she married Bud Martley. She worked for CNA Insurance until she retired in 2002. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved to be outside and was an avid flower gardener. She had a heart for animals and rescued many.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, and their four children: Timothy Martley (Karen) of Overland Park, KS, Cheryl O'Dell (Jim) of Cochise, AZ, Richard Martley (Laura) of Stilwell, KS, and Barbara Frerking (Bruce) of Leawood, KS; grandchildren: T.J. Martley, Cory O'Dell, Kelsey Hasselbring, Samantha Schroeder, Sarah O'Dell, Madison Conway, Kendyl Nicholson; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, Dementia Society of America, or Wayside Waifs.
