Karen Marie Gibson, 71, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed peacefully on Monday, November 26th surrounded by family.
She was born to Joseph C. and Elizabeth M. Higdon in Kansas City Missouri on June 17, 1947. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1964.
She married James R. Gibson, the love of her life, in 1964.
She was survived by her two children and their families: Jimmie and Becky Gibson of Adrian, Missouri and their four children, Jake, Haley, Jaxen and Emma and great-grandchild Harper; and Lee and Cheryl Bearce, of Kansas City, Missouri, and their two daughters, Kelsey and Courtney. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Higdon, and wife Margaret, and many nieces and nephews of Memphis, Tennessee.
Karen's passion and dedication was focused towards youth bowling in the Kansas City area.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, December 1st, with Memorial Services to follow. The service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Kearney Missouri, 1000 E. State Rt. 92. Pastor Dave Martin will officiate.
