K. Marie Duffield

After a courageous battle with dementia, K. Marie (Trammell) Duffield, 83, of Olathe, KS went home to her savior Jesus on January 2, 2021. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Arthur Duffield. Marie was born November 3, 1937 in Spring Hill, KS to Hosea and Justine Trammell. She is preceded in death by her brother, James Raymond (Ray) Trammell.

Marie enjoyed her career as an office manager for the Johnson County Treasurer and upon retirement continued to keep in touch with co-workers who were her dear friends.

Her greatest joy came from being a caring wife to Art, music, singing in her church choir, traveling, flower gardens and beautiful scenery. She was a warm, loving and thoughtful person who wore a smile that lit up the room.

Marie is also survived by her daughter Jeanine (Abe) Soltani of Edmund, OK, three grandsons and two great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 10:00am on Friday, January 8th followed by the funeral at 11:00am at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home at 14275 S. Black Bob Road.
