June L. Flannery, 91, Overland Park, KS, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2006 in her home. The family suggests contributions to College Church of the Nazarene Building Fund. Burial will be at a later date.
June was born February 8, 1915 in Fullerton, Kentucky. She married Glenn W. Flannery (who preceded her in death in 1982) in Greenup, Kentucky on August 15, 1931. She served in pastorates with her husband who later became an Ordained Elder in the International Church of the Nazarene in Sciotoville, Cleveland, Cardington, Fostoria, and Marion, Ohio where they retired in 1979.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; John & Ollie Everman, a son; Glenn Paul Flannery, siblings; Maxine McCoy and Douglas Everman.
She is survived by her daughters; Laquita & husband Harry Swartz, Brenda & husband William Cole, Marty & husband Ron Kauffman, siblings; Imogene Euth, Joy Pack, Joyce Umphrey, Gwendolyn Ackley, and John Everman, Jr., six grandchildren; Joy Nance, Beth Baltazar, Lynn Engel, Kim Kauffman, Lori Langley, and Jon Kauffman, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grand daughter.
She was deeply loved by her family, friends, and parishioners in the congregations they served. Her exemplary life and influence will never be forgotten.
